Hey guys. Well after almost giving up hope about hearing from the Cruise Jobs I had applied for Princess wrote to me on 04/08/2006 saying that the information I have provided is of great interest to them & they will be in the position to invite me for interview in the next 3-5 weeks. Well I'm from Scotland - Glasgow & they will be interviewing in Edinburgh on the 28th & 29th of Sept. Needless to say I am really excited about this opportunity!!! can't wait for the Interview.
What I need to know is if anyone has any tips?? I have applied for a position as Sales Associate.
Do you know of any other places they will be having interviews? I am in the US and have not heard of any job possiblities from the Princess line.
Good luck with the interview. Maybe some day we will work together!
When you say sale associate - do you mean as in a gift shop?
advice: be flexible, willing to leave anytime & commit for several months. Don't ask if you can have time off for the holidays. Be healthy, don't make jokes about drinking or wanton sexcapades. Look very clean (no piercings, visible tattoos, green hair, mohawks.
If your CV includes money responsibility (bank teller, etc) point that out.
I am the editor, but I also speculate, ask questions and play devil's advocate. I reserve the right to change my mind.
Well apart from me having the worst cold ever the day was great!
It started off at 9am with a presentation on the company which was really good, we then had short videos of what life is like onboard the ship. It looked soooo manic but in a really good way you could almost feel the buzz from watching the video.
The 2 managers who interviewed us had been on the ships for like 18 years before going land based so i think thats how you can tell its an amazing lifestyle, everyone seems really commited to the company & i can't wait to be a part of that.
we had individual interviews in the afternoon where we had to talk through our work experience & tell them 3 words our friends would use to describe us & then we had to choose an item either the interviewers pen, ring or watch & sell the item to them. really nerve wracking but i'm really glad i got the chance to go.
I really hope i get the job because after the presentation & stuff it just made me want it sooo much more.
If i get the job i'll be sure to give them your details & if i can find out of any interviews in your area i'll let you know asap.
