But, agencies are the way to go to get on ships. I used one to get my second job on the QE2, but it cost me a finder's fee of over 500 US. I have heard of other agents that take a cut every pay period. Not good.
The two that I list above, get the cruise lines to pay them to bring good candidates. I worked with the first agency a while back and they got me interviews with Disney. However, I chose to go to grad school instead. But, someday I will return to ships...it gets in the blood and won't go away. :-)
