Hi all! I've been reading this forum for a couple years, so it's now my turn to ask. I've recently come across a casino accountant position w/ NCL that I am interested in. (it's been on their site for awhile so I'm not even sure it's really available!) I have searched weeks for info related to this position and/or working for NCL and have found nothing. If anyone has ANY info on this position, I'd LOVE to hear it!! (Or even just NCL casino staff-what's it like working for NCL?) I'm also interested in finding out if any other cruise lines have a similar position. I saw a casino bookkeeper once, in a blog, but it didn't say what line.

I only can direct you to the NCL site ... FAQ's regarding shipboard employment and life onboard ...

I am working in Merchant Navy and the life simply rocks on board , but due to recent updates in US the company is planning to shed their casino bar
I worked for NCL in the entertainment department. I think you would like it a lot. Casino staff get a lot of time off (always in port). Its a good position - just a lot of late nights. Go for it!

Late nights, huh? As long as it's not early mornings too! lol I'm still interested, but I did hear some info that concerned me a bit-seems this position has to not only attend all countings (and prob. recount to verify), but also all the slots and such. Sounds like a lot for 1 person every night. I thought the asst. mgr. would attend the soft counts w/ the accountant doing the verifcation count later. I heard this position has a single cabin, that's a perk, even if it is small, plus the port time off is nice-although, wouldn't this position still have something to count, like slots?? Anywho, thanks for your input! Good to know NCL is a decent place to work-some posts seem to say otherwise. Any other info you have on working for NCL, staff treatment/perks, ect..I'm listening!!!
