Default Contract Start Date - Delays

Hi all,

Just a quick question. I have today been informed that my contract date has been delayed for a 2nd time, despite the fact that I gave them three months notice as to when I would be available & I confirmed with them again before handing in my notice. I have now finished my most recent job & was basically getting ready to head off.

Is this pretty normal behaviour with the cruise lines - are some better than others in this respect. It doesn't exactly fill me with confidence about going to work for a company that mucks its employees about this much before they have even started onboard!

Any thoughts anyone?
Cheers,
J

anyway of contacting your ship? Perhaps the guy/gal you're replacing has asked for an extension of their contract? It's been known to happen!
