Advice needed from Harding Bros. Shoppies

I have been offered an assignment as a Harding Bros. Shoppie. This is my first experience onboard. Before I decide I would appreciate some feedback.

Sometimes interviewers eggagurate things. My guess is it stops people from thinking it's an easy holiday. However.......

Once you have passed the crowd and safety management course, how long before you get a ship? Do you wait in UK or fly back home?

Do they really work 14-hour days, 7 days a week? When does anyone get a break of any kind?

Are you really expected to lift 22.5 kg/45 lbs.for however long it takes to unload 30+ pallets? (I presume I would not be alone in this )
