qualify for twic and mmd, arrests are over 7 years old...how strict are ncl's policies...what im looking for are people with records who have been hired. mind you, i have worked for two other cruise lines and they hired based on me, not my record. so id like to know about ncl. any reply would be great!
The twic card will probably not be too much problem with your record.
MMD Card is possibly another story.
When I applied for my MMD card in 2004, the FBI discovered that I had received a speeding ticket in 1968. They considered this quite serious as I had been caught driving 10 mph over the posted 35 mph limit !!!
The US Coast Guard first refused to give me the MMD Card, based on my "criminal behaviour" in 1968. After some long negotiations (where I pointed out that I wouldn't be driving anything on the ship), they agreed that if I wrote them a long heartfelt (and notarized) letter, explaining how I had rehabilitated myself since speeding in 1968, they would issue the card. I received the card a month after they received my heartfelt notarized apology/explanation.
If your arrests were of a nature more serious than 10mph over the speed limit, you might face some difficulties.
i dont mind attatching a statement, but im not sure what all to put on it. i have the worst of the worst on there, and its not even that bad. do i need to put every little thing because honestly, thats alot. i was a kid once.
