Harding Brothers - Ship Placement!

So I have just recieved my offer from Harding Brothers, working in gift shops. I will be on P&O Cruises Australia, Pacific Dawn. I leave March 17. I was just wondering if there was any advice/anything I need to know before I go. I am from Canada and I have never been on a cruise before, or to Australia so I am quite excited. What should I expect when I arrive? What things should I bring/not bring? What is the deal with cell phones? Is it recomended to bring one or not? Any information would be appreciated!

Hi Kat,
Just wondered if your enjoying your time working for Harding Brothers?. I want to do the same you see and just keep hearing horror storys about being worked like 14 hr days. Did you find that you could get off at the ports and have a bit of free time?. How did you find the money? i know that this is sometimes based on sales but could you get by on the basic worse case senario. Hope your having a great time and would love to here back from you or anyone else who has done the same job as you.
