Anxiously waiting news!

Hi there,
I recently had a telephone interview with a representative of P&O Australia and i was told ive got the job on the spot! I was informed by the rep that the recruiter i was working with here in Canada would be notified and take it from there. After waiting a few days i contacted my recruiter about questions such as medical, flights, etc.. And she told me to wait until "an offer has been extended" I'm assuming this refers to the letter of employment.

My big question is, What is the general turn around time to receive this letter or "offer"? Is it sent electronically or by mail? Seeing as i live in Canada and the cruise line is in Australia, mail could take quite some time. It would just be helpful to know!

Congratulations...

I would think the "offer" would come by email - although I could be wrong.

So, I an guessing it is more a matter of where they will need you. Everyone works on a rotation. They should have given you a timeframe for possibilities.

I would think your recruiter should be able to email them and just ask "when do you think _____ will get an assignment?" - It isn't too much to ask to want to know how to plan your life.

However - be prepared for things to change at the last minute. Every contract I had ended up being different than what I was originally told.

Today is my lucky day! I received the offer letter and leave May 20th! Australia here i come!!
