Joining Seabourn Advice

Hi all,

Im based in the UK and will shortly be joining Seabourn within the hotel department. Ive watched some of the crew videos on you tube and noticed that their wardrobes seem to be stuffed with clothes and other personal effects. Personally I was planning on travelling light with the basics and essentials.

Can anybody advise on particular items of clothing or other things which they deem essential apart from the obvious.

Also are there and staff discounts on cruises within the carnival corporation that I would be entitled to ?

You do get staff discounts and guest privileges with Carnival Corp once you have worked a few contracts.

As far as uniforms - the person who hired you will send you a letter on what kind of clothes you should wear. Typically they recommend a specific color of blue jackets, white slacks and shoes, etc.
