I have a skype interview next week and I'm totally in a panic already. Im pretty inexperienced when it comes to using skype!
Anyway, they have asked me to begn with a presentation-basically a welcome speech to parent and children, convincing them that they should sign up to the onboard youth programme. If this goes well, i will move on to the
second part of the interview. I need some help though. Ive never travelled on a cruise ship and just need some tips on what would make a great initial welcome speech. Should it focus on catching the interest of the parents or the children? Do recruiters want to gauge how i present myself to adults in this part of the interview?
Any tips on 'auditioning' for a cruise ship role would be most appreciated!
I would look up all you can about the lines youth program - maybe pick the newest ship and see what the children's facilities have to offer. Go to their website and maybe look to see if they have tv commercials? There are a couple other bulletin board sites like this one who'll have people talking about taking their kids to the programs . . . .
I'm willing to bet this is how they are checking that your taking the time to find out about THEM.
I have already been doing quite a lot of reading on the youth facilities offered onboard so im relieved that i've been heading in the right direction! I've now started looking through videos-there dont seem to be any on their website so thank goodness for YouTube!!!Definitely feeling a lot less stressed now-just need to get everything down on paper and practice :-)
