I've been hired to join Disney Cruise Line soon as Assistant Dining Room Server.
The interview was great but I have a few questions I'd like to have some feedback from former or current workers.
I only have 6 months experience in this position. And it was on a traditional restaurant from my country. I explained that to the recruiter.
>> Is this going to be a problem? Staff will help me getting along with cruise policies etc? I'm afraid to go to this life changing adventure and then I'm not the right person to the job for the differences there is between what I know and what the cruise policy demand.
Second is salary.
There is a very very small fix value per week and the rest is from the tips.
>> Is this a correct and... legal? Shouldn't I have a basic salary + tips?
Sorry for the questions... but I'm a little lost...
