Default questions from a new crewmember for first contract

Hi there,

I am about to join the ship next month for my first contract. I have a question regarding the ship.

I was told I will be staying on the same ship for the entire 6 month contract.

I looked up the schedules for my ship and noticed that there are some periods that the ship is NOT sailing. So my question is, where will I be?

For example, I found that my ship will be sailing April 3-29 and then the next schedule I found will be in June. I cannot find any trips in the month of May.

So I was thinking, maybe I cannot find the May schedules because those trips are sold out?

My question is, are ships sailing everyday? If a trip ends on April 29th, will a new trip start immediately on May 1st?

What ship is it? It can either be chartered or going in to dry dock.

And if a cruise ends the 29th, the next one will start the 29th. Most ships run 365 days a year.

Yeah, thats right it could be either the ship got chartered by an independent company, or its going into dry dock. You can also check the website Cruise Ship Calendar I know it used to be free (I don't know if it is anymore) but it will tell you where its going to be. As otherwise the information might not be published on the companies homepage, and have fun out there.
