So I have a question for people with experience working on ships... My and my husband thought it would be good for him to go work on board to save money since it's been tough lately, he's been gone for a couple of months already. I came across some pictures with other crew members that I really don't agree with and well now I'm worried I've been asked if I'm crazy to let him work on a ship since apparently it's crazy on board and this worries me. He calls me everyday through the wifi on board which I know is expensive but I still don't trust the ship life... Should I be worried? Is it true what people keep saying about the crazy sex life and party life in board cruise ships? I'm sorry, I might sound stupid but I don't even know what else to think!
I haven't started on my first contract yet, however I'm going to stick my 2c in anyway
I believe that if you have a solid relationship, you shouldn't be worried. Even if there is loads of parties and people of questionable moral substance! If you start to think along those lines, you will make yourself miserable, and you will start to make your partner think that you don't trust him.
I never worked on a ship but I will say this. If a person is not loyal and can't be trusted, things will happen no matter where he or she works.
People working on ships just like everyone else are responsible for their actions.
Each person has to live with their convictions and morals. A good person who wants to live a clean honest life can do so anywhere he or she works.
