Default Looking for Engineering job

i am about to graduate in the coming july, i gain my electrical bachelor degree in china and a related master degree in australia. i am considering working on a cruise ship as one of my option for my career. however, i haven't found enough information related to engineering job on cruise ship.

does anybody work as an engineer on cruise ship or know somebody who has experiences on cruise ship. i would like to know more information about this issue. for example, how hard is it for a graduate student who has no practical experience to apply a job on cruise ship? what is the promotion policy for engineer? does the engineer need any kind of document from maritime department so he can repair the engine or any kind of equipment by himself? any information would be helpful for me to think about that.

There is a section here (in our forums) called "crewmembers" - at this link:

Crewmembers - CruiseMates Cruise Community and Forums

I suggest you post this there.... in fact, I will move it for you.
