Default Got a job offer

Got a job offer from princess to work as assistant audio production manager staff. My hours say Monday- Friday 9-5 but it also says they can change or extend my working hours at their discretion. My question is will I be compensated for any overtime I put in if they only specified a monthly salary.

Those hours don't seem to be correct for a ship job....

Agreed.

In speaking to staff I've found normal hours are 12 hours a day, sometimes 6 hours in the AM with a break, then 6 hours in the PM. Also "days off" usually are just days they work a half day. 60-80 hours would not be unusual(12 x 5, 6 x 2 = 72 hours).

I would ask for more details.

Who have you been speaking to, an agency or somebody at Princess directly.
I have never heard of a job being 9-5 monday to friday on a cruise ship. The ship sails and works everyday 24/7.

It sounds very fishy, I hope I am wrong but I suspect you have been dealing with one of the many fake agency/cruiseline scammers that are out there.

You're in charge of airing/supervising evening shows, so finishing at 5 is not true.
