Default SHIP ID numbers

Hi ,

Just wondering what stage of the process you get " SHIP ID numbers"? to join ship as a new crew member for first time.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty much when I got onboard, but . . . if you get your LOE (Letter of Employment), it should be on that.

For those who don't know . . . this is a 6-digit 'unique ID' code that everyone working on a ship has. Like a national ID or drivers license . . . Pretty sure it stays with whatever company you're working for (so if you switch lines, you'll get a new one). Also, if you've been off ships for a bit, you may get a new one when re-joining.

yes, you wont get any kind of official document, LOE, ID number or anything until the cruise line wants you to start.

In the nicest way possible, they dont want to deal with you, pay you or do anything formal or official until the last minute when they need you!!!

Then and only then will you get everything very quickly :-)

You'll be filed in their system as that number that they gave you. You'll get your Ship ID with your letter of employment

if recruiting agent had any idea of all this process ie what next and how long take before come out of "Gap Pool" . Why would you ask question in this forum or any other question ??
I thought that why "Crewmembers" forum here to help maybe not............

"All I ask if any one know what is the next process in a application is this stage if you been there before???"

If you are in "gap pool" then you just WAIT. There are lots of threads on this subject already. You're not being very clear in what you're asking us in the first place.
If your recruiter can't answer your questions, then I question your recruiters knowledge.
If we can't answer your ambiguous questions, then find a Facebook group for your company or ship

SA15, we discussed all this in the "awaiting ship offer" forum post, the process was explained. As I mentioned if you need to ask more questions about joining the ship, please add them to the existing "awaiting ship offer" conversation.

Your question is:

What is next step of the process on my application ?

This is a vague question, we dont know your cruise line, we dont know your hiring partner, we dont know the specific position you have been hired for, we dont know what country you are from. All these things have an affect on the hiring process. What we do know is there is a basic process which was outlined in the awaiting ship offer post.

So the answer to your question is:

Wait for LOE
