The food in the dining room is not great, some things are better than others but nothing is really good. The steak was the WORST steak I have ever had.

The buffets were pretty good..................

We did not try Jade, we don't care for sushi, but a lot of people said it was good.

The 2 midnight buffets were great. One outside by the pool had a lot of variety, the fresh fruit kabobs were great, if you like fresh fruit, which I do! The gala midnight buffet inside the dining room was good too............we were full and tired so did not eat a lot, but what we had was good. It was gorgeous too!

Don't worry, the ship is gorgeous and TONS of fun...........don't let the food quality disappoint you.

There is a coffee shop in the promenade area, REALLY GOOD croissant sandwiches 24 hours. And good deserts too............

Did anyone try the Chops Grill? If so, how was it? Is it worth the surcharge?

Chops was delicious, I had the prime rib and my husband had a t-bone, VERY good. And the appetizers were very good too, much better food than the dining room and worth the $25.00PP in my opinion.

Johnny Rockets was free except for the shakes. The shakes were GREAT, terrible hamburger.........

Just got back from Navigator. Food in the dining room is OK at best. The waiters don't even recomend the steak. If you go with what the waiter recommends, you won't go wrong. Some things are pretty good. The lobster, rack of lamb, duck are ok.
Chops and Portifino are very good. They are definetly worth the extra charge. Some describe them as "the best meals they ever had". I wouldn't go that far, however, they are a real step up from the diding room. Go on Caribean night and Italian night, since they have the least apealing menus in the dining room.
Jonny Rockets is great. They only charge extra for the milkshakes. I made the mistake of only eating there on the last sea day, and I was depressed. As a hamburger connisior, the burgers were not good, but great. Alot of people grabbed a burger and had it poolside.
The two midnight buffets are OK-not anything like they used to be. One has a Mexican theme and the other a dessert theme.
Jade is a nice addition. The menu is not all that extensive and some days we could find nothing we liked, but it was a nice addition and a little different. It's really not sushi, just some basic Califirnia type rools at dinner.
