Favourite Desserts
It's got to be one of those Choux Pastry Swans or Key Lime Pie.
Well, it's usually two or three of those Choux Pastry Swans

Baked Alaska Brouhaha
The Baked Alaska on the HAL ships is highly overrated. It is fun to see the parade of flaming desserts, but Baked Alaska should be served with cold ice cream and hot meringue. I am an experienced baker and I fully understand that to serve it hot to a whole dining room of people is probably impossible but it seems that most people have never tasted the real thing.
On a recent HAL cruise my favorite dessert was the strawberry rhubarb pie. I am very fond of the tart-sweet combination and their pie was outstanding. I had the chocolate volcano cake in the Pinnacle and it was good but not great.
