I enjoed the previous post about lobster and fillet mignon on the Victory. Can anyone tell me how the lobster and filet is on the Imagination? Also, is steak availible on the non formal nights?
In my opinion, Carnival offers the best food in the mid-priced category of vessels. As I recall, steak was an option each evening, even if it wasn't part of the highlighted specials. Lobster is divine. Prepare to feast!
Truthfully, I was not thrilled with the lobster on Imagination. But then, I am used to Maine lobster and my standards are pretty high. But one was overcooked and one smelled bad. The lamb chops and barbecued ribs on Imagination were fabulous.

Re: Steak - I believe some form of steak was offered each night. Heard the chateau briand was fabulous, but we were on a tour that day, so this is second hand.

I enjoy the lobster tails served on Carnival ships. I usually have two, and share a prime rib with a tablemate - the only night I'm 'piggy'. You can order a steak (I believe it's a sirloin strip) every night, even tho it isn't on the menu - a nice backup plan for those who don't care for the menu selections of the evening.
