All Voyager-class ships will be gaining the Johnny Rockets surcharge within the next few weeks. As other RCI ships gain new Johnny Rockets, during their next refurbishments, they'll also have the surcharge at Johnny Rockets.
Mariner of the SeasŪ and Navigator of the SeasŪ will make permanent the new charge effective immediately.
The charge will be rolled out to the remaining ships as follows:
Explorer of the SeasŪ (Oct. 17), Adventure of the SeasŪ (Oct. 24), Voyager of SeasŪ (Nov. 6).
Johnny Rockets is good kiddie food, but the dining room is where the grown ups eat. No jab or cut, but I lay down the big bucks to eat high end versus low end. I'll save the fast food for construction workers and pedestrians. I am agog when someone chooses a hamburger over a rack of lamb. On RCCL my table mates detested the food as too fancy. Ha!! Go upstairs to the buffet I said. I'll stay here with my sautaed prawns and you can have your hot dog.
No offense intended, but if you consider $10 per person per day for food "big bucks" then I think you need to adjust your expectations. If gourmet cuisine was a priority, I would recommend patronizing a cruise line that actually did charge "big bucks" for food.
