Room Service Question

How long does it usually take for room service to arrive. I realize that it depends on what you order, but for instance a couple of sandwiches and desert.
In a hotel, you can wait a long time.
Do you tip the server? I know the mandatory tip fee is in effect, but just wondered.

We've never waited longer than 30 minutes and usually sooner. We usually tip a couple $ in the morning for coffee, juice and danish but for lunch we add a couple more. We love room service!!!

Hi gmann,

I agree with CA Cruiser. We never waited more than 30 minutes, and usually much less.

The room service server is not included in your automatic tips, so we tip $2.00-$5.00 depending on how much we order.

When ever I ordered room service, on Princess they told me how lone it would be! But it was always there before the time they stated!

We have found that for the most part our food has been delivered in 10 to 15 minutes. Unless it is during a "rush hour" IE breakfast hours etc. Then we usually have the food within 30 minutes. As to tipping we always give the server a dollars or so. HTH Regards Mac

Longest I have waited was 10 minutes and I tipped the waitress.

We waited 10 minutes max on our Spirit cruise.

45 minutes was about average on the Conquest this past March.

We tipped everytime......
