i am wondering if celebrity or carnival ever have alligator on a cruise ship. i am in the mood to try it on a cruise, i don't want to buy it in case i don't like it. i am hoping that they have lobster every night that i am on the cruise in january. happy eating everyone.
I don't remember Alligator on either of the Celebrity or Carnival cruises I have taken. However, Celebrity did have frog legs; that remains the strangest thing I have eaten on a cruise.

If you ever sail out of Port Canaveral you can run down to Bernard's Surf in Cocoa Beach (if they are still there) they had aligator.

ooo alligator isn't bad its more like reptile and chicken mixed together. the best way to eat it, in my opinion, is fried. So maybe it would be on the cruise if there is a fried food section.
Hombre,
I have ordered and eaten alligator. I live in Florida, and it is not uncommon here. So, I think the question was a legitimate one myself. Never seen it on any cruise, though.

hi, snoozeman. don't order too much gator for your january meal; i'd try crow for you okies. i hate gators (being a long-suffering bulldog fan) but i can say this -- they are tough, they go after you, and they know how to catch their prey. you ain't tried gator till you've tried it in the sec.
oh, but we're talking about gourmet treats, aren't we?
okies have never seen tebow and the rest of the gators. gator may be tender in oklahoma, but, believe me, it is tough down south. it is tough, though, for me to root for the chompers. good luck on your gator meal.
Many years ago, probably mid 1980's we were on a Carib. cruise (don't remember which line) and alligator was on the menu. We got one order for the whole table to sample. Kind of like white meat chicken. Haven't seen it on a menu since.
well, snoozeman, much as i hate to say this, that gator meat was mighty tough for your okies; and it will be next year, too. these guys just can't be beat unless you can somehow turn them over -- then they are mush
it happens once in a blue moon; but it is a rare feat. dawg
Well, I know my older sister has tried gator meat, and she has said it was mighty good(imagine that I am saying this in a cajun accent). Woo-wee.
On the other line this seems to have gotten off on to, Gators are mighty tough in the south, and always too tough for the Vols in Tennessee(anyone for some fried Vol.....lol).
