Food in the dining room on Carnival Fantasy

We want to book Carnival Fantasy for OCt 2010. I was wondering what the food in the dining room is like. Is it the same selections every night?

I read somewhere that dinner takes about an hour and a half. Is this the case?

Ginger,

While I haven't been on the Fantasy I have been on other Carnival ships and can answer your questions.

You will have different selections each night. This includes appetizers, entrées and desserts. There will be a number of "Always available" selections such as; flat iron steak, salmon and chocolate melting cake if you don't find something to your liking.

Dinner will take about an hour and a half. While this seems like a long time it really passes quickly because it seems like you are constantly eating and talking.

I agree, the time does go by quickly most of the time. We have, however, had one cruise where it seemed that the area we were seated in was always the last area to get the food out. We always enjoy the dining room and the waiters and their little entertainment as well as our tablemates, so we don't mind spending this time. The food is served in courses and of course (no pun intended) that makes for a more leisurely pace of dining.

We have sailed the Fantasy several times (last time was January 2009) and the food was fine. You HAVE to have the chocolate melting cake at least once.
