Food On NCL Pearl
Can anyone tell us what the food is like on the NCL Pearl?

Thank You,

We travelled to Alaska on the Pearl two years ago and our favorite part was the food. It was always delicious! We ate in the main dining room - it is difficult to find but very elegant and the tables by the window had a great view. The food is more European in style.

Also traveled to Alaska with NCL and the food was much better than some of the other cruiselines and even a lot of hotel restaurants at major hotel brands. I have seen some reviews of the food though that were slightly negative in nature so it may be kind of hit and miss depending on who is cooking and preparing.

The food quality in the main dining rooms had improved dramatically on our last NCL cruise (I never had too many issues with it), but it was improved from the previous cruises on NCL and lots of folks were in the main dining room rather than paying extra in the surcharge venues. The surcharge venues were good, though we would have passed on the Steakhouse "Cagneys" this last time. We've always been pleased with the Asian Fusion, Teppanyaki and Sushi restaurants. Le Bistro has scaled back a lot and just doesn't have the same quality and special ambiance, but is still worth the extra charge. Do not miss the Blue Lagoon. It is great place to get a light bite. They have good Mac & Cheese and buffalo wings. Oh and if you can get hold of the pretzel is so good!

Sailing on the Pearl in September... can't wait to try their Teppanyaki!

We sailed the Pearl last November and the ship had the best food we have ever ate at sea. We ate a Tappanyaki and wasn't that impressed but the rest of the food was sooo good! We ate also at the Italian eatery and it was very good. The MDR food is so good there is really no reason to eat at the pay for restaurants! The buffet and grill items were all scrumdelcious too.
