I didn't know you could sell a cruise?

Per the travel agent, Flying Dutchman Travel, the cruise can be transferred to another person for a $100 name change fee. They recommended I list the cruise on this site so that I could sell it and get a portion of my prepaid amount back.

Since it is a full ship charter it is possible the rules for this cruise are different.

I wouldn't exactly call this a "deal" since he is asking full price but we'll see if he gets desperate as the cruise gets closer.

Med cruises are going to be dirt cheap this year.

I prepaid when I purchased the cruise because I wanted to reserve a certain level room and the Jazz cruises typically sell out. Half of the room options are already sold out -- http://www.davekozcruise.com/#pricing It is non-refundable because I did not purchase trip insurance - lesson learned.

There was a death in my family 3 months after I purchased, and I am unable to go now due to family obligations.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. As noted above, I am willing to transfer the trip at a discount from what I originally paid.

Why is it non refundable? Even if you didn't buy insurance, it should be refundable. The cruise isn't until 8 1/2 months from now.
I don't know or need to know the family obligation, but it seems something could be arranged by you so you can go.
