$1680 per couple is a good price for a Panama canal cruise, on a nice ship, and the Norwegian Pearl is a nice ship.

When I saw the title I thought that it was a fat finger. I would be amazed to see a $33/night cruise. When I saw the tax it made more sense.

Yep, those taxes on a PC cruise are ridiculous!! Higher than anywhere else, but that's due to the high cost of the tariff they pay to go through the locks.

It'll be interesting to see if this changes when the new locks are completed in 2015. It's suppose to end up costing them $5.2 billion, so I wonder if the tariff will go up because of the cost to build them or if it'll go down because of the massive increase in traffic the new locks will create.
