Default Need three more cabins to get huge savings

I currently have 4 aft facing balcony staterooms booked on a Norwegian Epic cruise out of Barcelona embarking 4/22/2018.

My contact at NCL tells me that if I can book 3 additional cabins in this same category we can save $580 per cabin. This savings would consist of the 7th cabin being free (savings split over all the cabins) and also free prepaid gratuities and free gratuities on the already included drink packages too. Each cabin would have a total cost of only $2,400 ($1,200 per person) or so and that includes free drinks and prepaid gratuities.

How can I reach out to people that might be interested in this savings?

Are there websites that are dedicated to this specific issue, that is, helping people organize small groups to take advantage of group savings?

First, you never want to book directly with the cruise line. If you have any problems, who do you think they represent? And if you do have problems, you're on your own.

Second, when you put a group together, there are other things you can get that the cruise line usually doesn't tell you about. Your agent will be able to discuss all these options with you.

And third, the 7th cabin is not 'free'. The advertised price consists of the cruise fare and port fees (also referred to as non-commissionable fees or NCF's). When you get a group together, the cruise line will provide you the cash equivalent of the cruise fare only, not including the NCF's or taxes. So, it's not really a 'free' cabin - that's really a misrepresentation of the facts.

Contact your agent and have them do all this for you, as there very often many things associated with groups that the cruise line won't tell you, because more than 95% of the time, the reps you're talking to; work in a call center, aren't certified travel agents, have usually worked for the cruise line for less than 6 months, and have never even been on a cruise or to any of the ports. (FYI.. this is not my information, but facts that CLIA - the Cruise Lines International Association - came out with years ago.)

Good luck with find some more cabins, as you can definitely get amenities individual reservations don't get. Just didn't want you to think that the NCL rep has your best interest in mind, as they usually withhold options from you.

Default Thanks Pete

Duly noted. Thanks for your advice. If I do decide to re-book these rooms with a travel agent you will be the one I contact.

Regards, Dave
