Default Be Aware!! Some Driver Licenses Not Valid for Domestic Air Travel

In case you're not aware, a drivers license in some States may not be acceptable identification when flying domestically.

Check it out;

Real ID Act - Effective January 22, 2018

Beginning in January, 2018, some State IDs will no longer permit you to board a domestic flight. Currently, some States are compliant, some have received extensions, and some are not compliant.

Click here to see the status of your State;

https://www.dhs.gov/real-id-enforcement-brief

If your State license is not compliant, you can use a passport in lieu of a valid State ID.

And as a side note, requirements for passports changed 10 years ago forcing millions to get a passport. Since passports are valid for 10 years, this year will see a huge request for renewals, which in turn will again cause an increase in the amount of time it takes to process passports. If you plan to travel this year and need to get a new passport or a renewal, you'll want to do so in plenty of time. And make sure to check the expiration date of your passport, because some countries require that your passport cannot expire less than 6 months after your trip.
