ok....here is a good one. Wife wants to know if there are Ironing boards and Irons on the Dawn Princess...or does the room person, when asked in a nice way, do the de-wrinkling of garments.....sigh
Thanks

Hi Boomer,
Every floor has a laundry room and I seem to remember on Ocean that there were irons and boards in there. You can ask your room stewart to bring one to the cabin and see if that can be arranged, but the laundry rooms are vern convient to all the guest cabins, shouldn't be a problem to go in there and iron what you need.

There are also some travel steam irons, don't know how well they work though and have heard people hanging wrinkled clothes in bathroom with the shower turned on HOT, that may work too. Hope this is some help.

Hi Boomer:

Tell your wife to pack anything she's particularly concerned about in plastic dry cleaner's bags. I guarantee the wrinkles will be negligent to non-existent and then she won't have to waste time ironing on her vacation. I do a lot of business traveling with suits, dresses, linens, etc., and this really works, even with casual cotton clothes.

Have a great cruise!

Dawn

Hi Boomer,
Yes, forgot about the plastic dry cleaning bags Dawn was referring to, this really does work, tried it out last cruise and didn't need to iron a thing.

Oops ... meant to say negligible. I can type faster than I can think. Good luck!

Dawn, I just tried this for a weekend getaway to LA this week -- it works great! And my dress shirt for dinner was all cotton!

Not to sound like a commercial, and I don't make a cent from this, honest, but there is a new product on the market I'm going to take on my cruise. It's a dewrinkler (a Downy product) for casual clothes like shorts and t-shirts, not dress shirts or pants. You just spray it on and run your hands over the garment with a couple of tugs. I know I don't want to spend my precious time in the ironing room!

I recently purchased that downy de-wrinkler stuff and it is fabulous!! We're sailing in January and you can be sure it's going in my suitcase!
