We are cruising next week on Carnival with our 8y.o. and 5y.o sons. I see that shorts are not allowed in the dinning rooms. Does this include children? They have some very nice dressy church outfits that are shorts that they would be more comfortable in. Thought I'd check and see what folks that have traveled with kids have experienced. Thanks
For breakfast & lunch it is ok, but the cruise line tries to create a dress code so it won't be taken advantage of in the evening. For the children, if the outfits you choose you feel would be appropriate at a church service for your children, I have not doubt they would be fine especially at early seating dinner. Once, we cruised with a group of over 100 adults. On formal night at the table next to us was a very handsome Kenny Rogers look-a-like. He stood up and was wearing his white tuxedo jacket and coordinating vest but his pants were tuxedo style black Bermuda shorts! Obviously no one stopped him on the way into the dining room.
