I am trying to find out what women wear in the evenings on an Inside Passage cruise in late June. We are sailing on Infinity. Will a sleeveless/short sleeve with a wrap do or our long sleeve outfits necessary. I realize I can't go outside like this. I have cruised in the Caribbean and don't know if the same summer clothes will do? Thanks for the help.

Well, this may be an odd question for a guy to answer, but......
From the two Alaska cruises I've been on, in the evening, I'd say dress is very similar to the caribbean (minus the shorts etc). If you're not planning on being out on deck then short sleeves with a cover up for the air conditioning should be fine.
We have noticed dress on Alaska cruises is a bit more casual than other destinations, although you'll still see a fair share of tuxes and glitter on formal nights.
Kathy, you will feel comfortable in anything that does not shout Caribbean. It is a little hard to change your entire wardrobe for an Alaska sailing, but it really is not that different from the Caribbean. You will need less shorts, a sweat shirt and maybe a Polartec lined jacket for daytime excursions, but evenings on board are just about the same. Formal wear is just as formal as you want to dress, informal is a nice Sunday dress or pantsuit, jacket & tie for guys, casual is pant outfits, skirt or casual dress outfits for ladies.
Bon Voyage
