One formal night more formal?

Is one formal night more formal than the other on a 7 day cruise. My husband and I are sailing on the Paradise?

A rule of thumb is to wear your most formal and "tighest" outfit first. It won't fit by the 2nd. formal night. Example; Long gown 1st, cocktail dress 2nd. Have a great time.

Actually yes it is. The first formal night is usually also the Capt's dinner and reception and I always wear "black tie" formal that evening. The second and any other formal nights I tend to wear colourful cummerbuns, vests, ties, hankies, etc. to be a bit more whimsical even in formal attire.

! Lord I just read what I wrote and that sounds SO wierd! What can I say, at least I have fun <G>

Oh, that is SO true about wearing the tightest outfit first! Last year, I had a gorgeous black stretch dress I planned on wearing the second formal night. Hey, it stretches, right? Well when formal night #2 rolled around, the dress still fit, no problem! However, I looked like I was PREGNANT! Fortunately, I brought an extra cocktail dress that looked better on my "new" body.
