Hi Fashion critics--Was always told no white shoes (except sneakers) before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. Is this true while cruising? Also have real cool white linen summer suit--okay to wears? Or will the fashion police issue a citation?
Go ahead and pack your white outfit. Cruise clothes run the gamut from t-shirts to full length evening gowns. Tropical type clothing is big too, especially if your going somewhere warm. You didn't mention what cuise line or where you're going. Some lines are a little bit dressier than others.
When in the Caribbean, the white shoes are fine anytime, at least thats what I was told and have seen/worn them myself, the white suit is also perfect. Don't fret, the fashion police won't take a second look, you'll be fine.
As a highly-placed Officer in the Fashion Police I can tell you that the rule in the Caribbean is that there are no rules. Unless, of course, you LIVE there, in which case you do "turn with the seasons."
White shoes, white dinner jackets, white linen suits, whatever, are perfectly OK.
Go forth and be stunning !!!
