organizing your cabin

The best advice I took and give to others now is to purchase one on those "over the door,clear pocket,shoe organizers," You can buy them at any discount store for about $10. We put hair brushes, bottles of sunscreen, hairspray, sunglasses--anything you want easy access to. Even my teens didn't constantly have to ask me where their stuff was.

We tried this last fall on Granduer. It worked out wonderful considering we were traveling with another couple in our cabin with us. We just went to our local Dollar Tree Store (where everything is a dollar or less) and purchased a child's shoe organizer. It was not clear but worked out wonderful and we don't know how we traveled without it before!

I've been using a shelf-type, hangs on the closet rod, shoe organizer for years. On long cruises, I take TWO !!!

I've never tried the hang-on-the-door type.

One organizational hint is to score a money cup from the casino ... that's where you can toss your room key/cards, extra chips, the earrings you took off and were too lazy to open the safe to put away, spare glasses, etc. I refer to it as "The Container" and consider it essential to good cabin-keeping.

It's amazing how "stuff" can just accumulate in the cabin when you aren't paying attention.

Great idea to use the cup in one of the pockets even!! The ashtray(if there is one in your room) fills up fast!
