Default Carnival Cruise Dress for 7 nights

To anyone who has cruised recently or has their doc's for an upcoming Carnival cruise, what does your brochure recommend for Evening dress attire? i.e. 2 formal nights, 1 Informal - jacke & tie, 5 Smart Casual, etc.

Trying to plan and send the clothes to be dry cleaned, etc. Just cruised Celebrity and want to pack different but appropriate cruisewear.

Thanks for the help

Carnival 7 day cruises include 2 formal nights, and then the rest are probably what you'd call smart casual. No shorts, jeans, etc for dinner. Most guys wear khakis or slacks. Most gals wear khakis, slacks, sundresses, cute skirts, etc. There are no semi-formal type nights on Carnival.

Sailed on Carnival Victory and found I really overpacked! (Which would explain the 'heavy' tag that was put on my luggage!)Several 'casual' nights I wore the same sundress I had worn during the day.
