I did not want to spend alot of money on something I knew I would'nt wear again. I bought a short black(of course) dress with some embroidery, and for the other formal night I got a really pretty pants outfit with a few sequins on it. Now is really a great time to shop for a cruise as the clearance racks are full of discounted holiday wear with lots of choices. Also try consignment shops .I've found some really cute in-style things in there.. Have Fun!! Colleen

Shannaclaire:

You'd be surprised how advantageous a slinky long black skirt with a side slit fits the bill. I have one that is 100% polyester which doesn't wrinkle. You can be very creative with a top. A satiny shell or long sleeved satin blouse, a sequinned top, a knitted formfitting shell and alternate jewelry & fancy shoes can create so many different looks. To give you an idea here's what I created for different looks. Found this fabulous see-thru long sleeved blouse on sale that I use like a jacket. It's black/red/rust & cream in color with gold & pearl buttons & gold threads running thru it. I wear a sleevless 100% nylon wrinkle-proof black shell under it with a gold/pearl pendant & earrings. Also found this good looking cap sleeved, opened neck sweater, sewed pearls around the neckline & added a pair of fancy drop pearl earrings for the second formal evening at sea. Later, you can shorten the black skirt for every day wear.

Happy cruising & knock 'em dead with your creations!
