formal night - when?

our family will be cruising on the monarch in june - 5 nights starting monday.
will the formal night be thursday or friday (considering friday will be the last night and all the packing and the bags have to be outside the door by midnight)? or i'm i totally wrong and the formal night is the first night out.

Hi Cat,
Usually the formal night is not the first or last, so that leaves the three in between, if the second day out is a "sea" day, there is a good chance it could be then. You are right though, the first night, not everyone has their luggage, always casual, same for the last, a lot of cruisers have that stuff already packed, so don't worry about it being the first or last, shouldn't be those 2.
