My husband and I will be sailing on (Celebrity) Constellation on Oct. 25, 2002 from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale. This 14-night cruise stops in Malaga, Gibraltar and Madiera before crossing the Atlantic; then stops in St. Thomas and Nassau before reaching Ft. Lauderdale. Does anyone know what we can expect weather-wise (temperature/weather conditions), especially on the 5-day transatlantic portion of this sailing? Do we pack for winter, summer, or something in between? Thanks.
Re: transatlantic crossing
I "crossed" last March/April from Ft. Laud. to Madiera Island. I didn't know what to pack either! Our crossing was 12 days (Seabourn Pride) and the weather was beautiful! Only one morning did it rain......then about noon, the sun shone! We were comfortable in shorts, pants, and I took cute long cotton dress's for daytime......then we dressed every evening. But, I would take a "wind-suit".....and a sweater or two. In the Caribbean it will be very warm.......so summer things. You will LOVE the crossing!! We cruise Seabourn twice a year....last March was our 1st "crossing"......but NOT the last! You will make lifelong friendships! It is so much fun!!
Happy Cruisin'!! and Happy Crossin'!
