I was at Target last night picking up some packing items for our cruise to Alaska. I am using Calgon's packing list/suggestions and my husband really likes the idea of using backpacks and only checking one hard suitcase. Expecting to pay about $30 for a decent quality backpack, imagine my surprise when target had their "dublin trails" backpack cut in 1/2 from $30 to $15. I didn't want matching ones for my husband and I at first but I grabbed the last two. Who cares what it looks like if it does the job and I saved money. In addition I bought a hanging sweater organizer (wider than shelved shoe organizers) and a small toiletry bag that comes with soap and toothbrush holders as well as a compact mirror and pop up hair brush (it has a loop for hanging as well).
Just thought I'd pass the info along to the non-seasoned cruisers who don't have this packing thing down yet (or the very experienced cruisers who vacation so much they need new luggage).
I guess that would have been nice of me to post where Calgon's list is. But thanks to those of you that did. I loooove Target for picking up cruise stuff. The good thing is some of the stuff I buy can be used for camping as well (backpacks, travel size shampoo and moisturizers, swimsuits) and I get double use. I've packed away the stuff I just bought, that way all of my cruise only items are together and I don't have to go searching all over the house for things. One stop packing.
LMAO!!! I thought the same thing when I read the website. I didn't know woman served in combat in the early wars (vietnam, WWII). Then it hit me when Calgon mentioned Mrs. Calgon.
