When my 13 yr. old daughter needed a gown, I turned to a 2nd. time around shop that specialized in Formals. JC Penny, Sears, and Filenes usually have sale racks that you can check - don't forget those extra % off coupons. I am now shopping with my 12 yr. old pre-teen grand daughter who is tall but still a girls size 16. That is really hard. Let me know if you get other recommendations, too.
Depending on when your cruise is...We have here on Long Island stores called DEB...and they sell alot of inexpensive formal dresses...plus always wait till the end of July...(this is the end of Prom season/bridal season)
Thanks, Victoria. We do have a DEB in our local mall. As my grand daughter is just turning 12, this is a new area of shopping for her Nana. We bought a 2pc. juniors swim suit size 6 but not all 6's fit properly.
Re: Re: Re: Young teen formal wear for girls- where?
Thanks for the info ladies! Have pretty much decided that we will wait for the after-the-holiday sales(Filene's most likely) since we will be cruising in February.
