well, i have a week to go and i thought i better check out the clothes and see what i had and what i need to NOT take.
folowing the advice of several boards, i have weeded out many items and see that i really will not need to take or use them. the suitecase sure is getting lighter. since i will be in alaska and the inside passage, i know i will need a couple pair of nice sweatpants that can go with different sweatshirts and a pull over sweater. i have the formal nights taken care of and two nice, comfy capri outfits for the casual nights. a nice lightweight sweater can be put on if i need it in the dining room. besides that i am going to mix and match for the ports and pick up a t-shirt if i need it.
thanks to everybody for helping me make my packing so easy and light.
Sounds like you're just about ready to go, glad you are packing light, you can always layer and switch the day time clothing and wear just 1 or 2 sweatshirts over t-shirts, it does work out fine.
Do come back and let us know all about the cruise and Alaska, remember to pack your film/camera in your carry-on so the x-ray machines don't damage it, have fun!
it is amazing over the last 10 months what i thought i was going to need to take and wont.. the bright side is that i have alot of new clothes now and will not need to buy hardley anything for the next cruise.
and your tip about the camara is at the top of my list. i will have it hand checked.
