Default Long sleeve dress?

Hi all,

I have a dress question. I am going on the Carnival Sensation Nov 1, for 5 days. For the formal night, I have a few options. I have a long rich brown velvet dress I wore for a late fall wedding, but it has sleeves. Is this ok?

My other option is a black halter style dress, which I haven't gotten to wear. It's more sexy than the brown, the brown is more classy.

I've heard the air conditioning can be brutal. What do you think?

Thanks!

Wear the long rich brown velvet dress. Or You can always wear a lace or chiffon type off the shoulder shawl for the other dress. You will be surprised at what the ladies put together for the formal and informal evenings. I personally wear satin or other elegant material pant sets. I just have to be careful that they don't look like sleep wear!

either would be perfect. Since you haven't worn the black halter dress why don't you wear that one with a wrap or lacy shawl. It can be cool in the dining rooms when you first get there, it warms up after with all the hot food and people.

You can wear the black dress with long gloves and a wrap, and let it off in the dance room if its too hot.

It's always good to have a chiffon wrap in your cruisewear wardrobe. I have found a few nice ones at Marshall's and picked them up so I always have them.

If you are going to the Caribbean the black dress with a wrap might be better. The velvet dress can also be worn though, but that one would be nice for cooler weather trips.
