Default should we take hangers

We are going on the Celebrity Horizon in two weeks and never having been on a cruise before, I wanted to know if we should take hangers for our clothes...it would be awful to not be able to hang our things up...does anyone know if they supply you with lots of these?

I also wanted to know what to wear when we board the ship in Tampa, Florida...we are going to Central America for 10 days and I sure hope that the weather is warm...

Thanks in advance...I really am getting excited....

Hi Jeannie,
Yes, there should be plenty of hangers, don't bother bringing any from home. If for some reason you should need more, just ask your cabin attendant and he/she will get more for you. We use a garment bag for a good deal of the hanging clothes, so they already have the hangers and its easy to un-pack and hang all that up, other than those, I 've never had to bring hangers.

Hi,

There are hangers on the ships. But I pack almost all of our clothes on hangers in the suitcase. Then, I just pull them out and hang them up and I'm all set. With the dressy clothes in cleaner bags, this has worked great for me. No great amount of wrinkles, etc.

Have a great time!

Jan

We do the same Jan -- works great, and the bulk of the clothes are unpacked in 3 minutes flat.

Thanks for all the replies...Maybe I will try to pack with the hangers on, if I can fit them in the suitcase...as it is now, I think I will have to sit on the suitcases...we are probably taking too much...but what the hell, we've never done this before...

Is there anyone out there that is going on the Celebrity Horizon this coming Friday, Nov 28th?

I can't wait.....Jeannie

Hi

We take wire hangers and then leave them there. I have found we always use them, since there is not a lot of drawer space. Was on NCL Dawn last week and their closets were very small for us 3. Happy Crusing.

They do supply hangers but never enough for me. I usually have some though for the things in my hangup bag-though I usually put in a couple extra. I have lots of wrinkle free stuff I pack in suitcase but like to hang it up when I get on ship.
