Rolling for me works for most clothing (i.e., tee shirts, shorts, swimsuits). Just lay item flat, start at top or bottom, and roll. Somehow rolled items when lined up and on top of each other in a suitcase just create more room and yes, less wrinkles than flat folding/layering. I wouldn't recommend for formal wear though.

I've never found a way to roll or layer anything in a suitcase and have it come out without needing to be pressed.

amy c,

I found that standing my luggage up on end, opening it up like a book and stacking my clothes in 2 colums worked best for me. I ended up getting almost 1/2 more clothes in each suit case this way than the normal way I had it. My husband was shocked! Nothing was too wrinkle either. I ironed before packing and I actually didn't iron anthing at all. I brought one, but didn't use it.

Rolling does seem tosave space, but I still found that things needed to be ironed. Bring some Downy Wrinkle releaser with you if you have room, and try hanging the clothes in the bathroom while you shower to let them steam a little. I'll do anything to keep from ironing!
