Default bikinis or 1piece?

Do you take a bikini or full piece swimsuit?

I like to bring several suits (1 or 2 of each ) so you always have a dry one. I like to wear the bikini when I am on board by the pool or at the beach, but we did some active excusions and I was glad to have my one piece. Carla from Boston

I'm a one piece girl. always have been, I am not overwieght, or wierdly shaped , I just hate being exsposed! I like swimming , so a one piece is just more practical.BUT!!
I am not considering getting one of those :tankinis. What would those of you who wear them say is there biggest advantages. They seem to look like one pieces when on, so is the advantage that it's easier to go to the washroom because its a two piece?

You will see every kind of swim suit imaginable on every shape person. Wear what makes you happiest. I always pack a 1 peice for excursions & that last day when I always feel like I gained weight.

Tankinis are good for me because I am long-waisted. With a one-piece I am either pulling the top part up or the bottom part down! ( I know that there are long torso suits available, but they are limited, and usually are in bigger sizes.) Also, you can vary the looks by buying a couple of different tops to wear with plain bottoms.

Hi my post says " I am not considering gettting a tankini" it should say " I am considering getting a tankini"

thanks Kathy for your good point regarding the comfort for a long waisted person,.that makes sense.

I wear only one pieces. I might wear a tankini as long as it covered my entire mid section, but I have never bought one. I am obese, I don't look too good in bikinis I imagine, .

I like Tankinis. I teach swimming lessons in the summer and have always worn one pieces, but last summer I bought some tankinis and I love them.

Good for you! I've been losing but haven't lost that much yet. How long did it take you?

love tankinis - more freedom of movement than a one piece, then there is the whole bathroom issue( so much easier with a two-piece) the tankinis give full coverage especially the Land's End ones.

Hey Darcy!

Actually, it has taken me about 6 mos to lose 25 lbs. I am seeing a nutrionist and doing it the old fashioned way....just healthy eating and hitting the gym. Hoping to not do too much damage on my cruise!

good for you Shelly. On the cruise take the stairs as much as you can. That's what we do and it makes a huge difference after all those gastronomical treats!
