Default Carry on wardrobe bag?

I have two wardrobe bags, the kind that you hang clothes in, and fold over. Are these acceptable to carry on or will they have to be checked?

Hi Cure,
We too use a garment bag and its too large to carry-on with the airlines and I think too large to go through the same size x-ray machines the cruiselines use, so I have to check ours.

are these considered to be counted as one of your checked bags, wife and I each have two for extra room for gifts and were wondering if we can use a garment bag besides the four on the plane

Usually a small carryon and one personal bag, such as a purse is allowed. Then you
each have two checked bags. I think the garment bag would be to big, you can go to their website and they should have dimensions allowed.

HI Steve,
Most likely the garment bag will have to go with the checked luggage, at least ours is too large to be considered carry-on.
