I am wondering if anybody has any experence with these new TSA approved locks at UK and/or Danish airports. Can their agents open luggage w/TSA locks or do they have to cut them off if they deem inspection is required? Thanks
I believe the purpose of those locks is to allow the TSA to open them without destroying your luggage. Don't think they cut them off, but I'm sure if they do someone will jump all over this response. :-)
In the initial message, I was inquiring whether the British(UK) or Danish equivilant of our TSA agents had the keys and/or knowledge to deal with the TSA locks.

Hello,
Sorry to say we do not have any personal experience with these countries requirements (yet-hopefully someday soon) . My travels in Europe were military and so no security measures were applied to us.
We did scare the heck out of folks at the Shannon airport once when we deplaned with our M16s in hand for a short layover.
I did manage to find a few websites that will give you info and contacts to ask directly....hope they help.
I flew from Venice Italy to Sacramento California with a stop in Frankfurt Germany with TSA locks and I didn't have a problem. So I think the Italian and Germany security people either didn't need to look into my bags or the the locks fine.
