Sorry, no there are no irons onboard, they are a fire hazard, but the do offer a laundry service. Also, when packing, put all your dresses in the plastic cleaner bags, help with the wrinkles. I do this all the time and I never have had to iron anything, but we also use a garment bag, so that helps a lot too.
If you have to have something pressed the valet service will do it for one half the cleaning price, i.e. suit $3.50, evening gown $4.00. Between dry cleaner bags and my steamer (swear by it), have never had to avail myself of the service. Cheers!
I thought that I read that there is an iron/ironing board in the laundry room on each deck.
I'm bringing the Downy Wrinkle Releaser, but I was hoping to have access to an iron in case something needed a nice sharp crease.
I believe HAL has a laundry room on every other deck with washer/dryers and irons available. I don't believe any cruise lines allow ironing in your cabin. There are a few things I don't pack for this reason.
It depends on what ship you are going on. Some have laundry rooms with washer/dryer and irons available for your use. If you check your cruise brochure, you can probably find a section that explains what laundry facilities are available on your ship.
