Rolling clothes instead of folding - does this really work?
Several times I've heard people say by rolling your t-shirts/cotton shirts, instead of folding them, they remain wrinkle free? Is that possible? If so, do you fold them first then roll them?

Sarah....I too have tried rolling them ....and the "leave them in the plastic dry cleaners bag" approach....and no matter how I fold my clothes, they end up wrinkled.

I always roll my clothes......there may be a few wrinkles but you hang them up & the wrinkles come out......don't roll them super tight.....takes up less space too.....packed 2 30" under 50 lbs suitcases for a 21 day cruise.......<S>
Re: Rolling clothes instead of folding - does this really wo
That's really the key for avoiding and minimizing wrinkles: Pack very loosely, whether it be by rolling, in tissue paper, plastic, whatever. The less there is in your suitcase, the less pressure there is on the items inside. Soft-sided luggage doesn't protect its contents from external pressure as well as hard-sided, but even there the sidewalls help protect lightly-packed contents better than tightly-packed contents.

So what if you clothes are wrinkled you are on a cruise... relax enjoy life....
The only thing I would be concerned about would be my suit for formal night... and you know what I will crumple it up and pack it... and send it out to the cleaner the first night on board.
