Smelly Luggage?

Okay... so the last time I was on a trip was about a year ago. So now I have pulled out my luggage out of the basement and kind of smells a little moldy.. It is a black bag.. just an fyi.

Anyone have any tips.. on how to de-smell it?

Right now I have it sitting in front of one of those plug in Glade Room fresherners... it also have a fan in the room fresherner.

But any other tips? Beside's travel more...lol..

spry febreeze on it....my bags smelt horrible a few weeks ago and we didnt know why, This worked like a charm.

If you have good weather where you're at now put it outside in the sun for a while then bring it in and spray it with febreeze. I did this and it worked great.

Try putting fabric softeners sheets inside of bag--worked for me

open it up, put it outside in the sun and fresh air, spray it with the Febreeze

The fabric softener dryer sheets sound like a great idea and thinking that placing one in the luggage during storage might be a good habit to start.

If all else fails try an open box of baking soda then throw the soda out - like don't use it to bake with lol or whatever you make will taste like stinky luggage lol. Then start packing duh! Have a great trip. ttfn Jennifer

Place the suitcase in an area where it wouldn't be disturbed. Lay it down and place a shallow dish with vinegar inside. Leave it for a day or two. Vinegar works with smoke, paint and musty odors.

I always pack a sheet of fabric softeners in my suitcase. Everything comes out sweet smelling and you can always tear off a piece to use when washing a few things on your trip.

Do you know those annoying slips that come in magazines that are ads for perfume or cologne......I open them up and toss them in the luggage.

Crumple up newpapers and fill the bag up, close it and leave it for a day or so. The paper absorbs the smell.
